We have found the Archeoscope most as a central place to set up the computer gear an meet. We have not signed a contract yet because we've not yet figured out all details but that will hopefully happen in the next couple of weeks.ArcheoscopeThe next hall is located under the roof of the Archeoscope museum, located at the river bank. This place looks very nice. The main hall is a large L-shaped area, 25x7 m for the long arm, 12x7 m for the short arm. There is a separate room with kitchen that we could use for coffee, lunch, etc. There are toilets on the floor, an elevator, and a direct entrance from the street. Everything is accesible for disabled people, except for two steps to get into the "lunch room". The Archeoscope has 20 ISDN lines, so we should be able to get a bunch of those for our Internet connection. Everything looks new and clean. The big question is going to be the price. The "normal" price, as charged for commercial conferences, would be way outside our budget, but they appear to be willing to accomodate us. Negotiations have just started, so let's wait and see. We should also find out about insurance issues if we want to use this place. |
